This monsters' project was an interdisciplinary project that had the students working with Mrs. Robano (Art Teacher) in creating their monsters. To create motivation for writing, the students were able to create a Chatterpix video once they finished their monster writing.

Who Would Win Project
Part 1
Part 1
The students were given a "Who Would Win" book that has two animals or insects, which at the end will give information why one would win. Their job was to learn about the animals/inserts that were mentioned in their book. They had to use books and websites to collect their research on their animals or insects. They then inserted all the information they collected within a Google Slide file. Their job was to also add many different elements such as captions, shapes, arrows, crop images to show only certain parts of their animal or insect. They also were given the task to format the slides to make them look interesting.

Part 2
The students had to record themselves reading their slides using the new Record feature within Google Slides. Below you can click on each of the students' names to watch any of their videos.:
Part 3
The students participated in the "Who WOuld Win" animal bracket. The class would watch one student's video on their animal then they would watch another student's video on their animal. The class would vote on which animal they think would win based on the facts they heard frm each the two videos. Below was the bracket and you can see the winning animals per round. The winning animal was the hippo.
During the bracket, we had the students to a quick Flipgrid video on their animal that highlighted the key characteristics and other things about their animal that will help their animal win. You can scan the code below to see all the student Flipgrid videos.
