The students learned to use a website to collect information about a specific human body part and use what they collected to create and produce one well-developed factual sentence in a shared Google slide that every student can use to help create individual, personal, labeled models of a human body and many of its working parts.
The students also were introduced to how to collaborate within a single Google Slide file.
Part 1: The students' facts in complete sentences collaboration Google Slide file
Part 2: The students' took printout of all the students' body parts facts and created a life size outline of themselves. They had to place human body parts in the correct order and put the research fact next to each body part.
Part 1:
The goal of this project was for students to create new imaginary animal for a zoo. They had to choose three animals from a list of animals, which they would use to create this new imaginary animal. This project was a technology/interdisciplinary project. This means that the topic came from the grade level curriculum and incorporated technology integration within the project. The students had to use gOOgle slides, which they were exposed to many skills such as inserting copyright free images and taking pictures of their drawing, resizing images, cropping images, writing complete sentences, adding transitions, and using the slideshow. This project at times was done in the classroom and other times in the lab.
Part 2:
This project included collaboration, where the students worked in groups. In groups, they had to decide how the new animals could be combined and organized at the "zoo" exhibits.
KEYNOTE: The end products are below. Once you open them click on "Slideshow" this way you can see all their hard work including their transitions.
