Mrs. Castonguay's Class Technology/Interdisciplinary 2022-23 Projects
Camouflage, Mimicry, and Bioluminescent Animal Project
The students researched about an animal that could camouflage, mimicry, or bioluminescence. They gathered facts about that animal. They created a Google Slide to showcase their findings.
The students take paper writing pieces from the classroom and type them within their digital writer's notebook. They have to edit and revise to make it final. Teacher offers online comments while students are typing their pieces. They also need to insert an image that goes along with their writing. This is a project that the students will be doing throughout the remaining part of the year, so within the student files you will see finished work but also work in progress pieces they haven't finalized as well. By the end of year, any writing piece within this file will be finalized. Keep coming back to read the updates within the students' files.
Students were given a book on a famous person. Their challenge were to read through the book and find key facts that they had to write down within an organizer. The facts they collected will be information they had to use during a live wax museum presentation in front of an audience. The students then had to organize all their information by writing complete sentences within Google slides that they used as a visual for them and their audience during the wax museum presentation.
