4th grade US State Webquest
This Web Quest allows students the opportunity to learn about another state and share that information with teachers, parents, and peers.
You have been hired by an ad agency, DES Agency. The DES Agency just received a new project with each of the state's tourism departments for us to create commercials to get people to visit the states. Your job is to find facts and create a Google Present file (commercial) that will get people to want to visit your assigned state. You will present your final product to your class. The goal is to get at least one person to say "maybe I would like to visit your state".

The task for this Web Quest is to gather interesting facts that will give people a reason to come visit your state.

Below are all of the steps that you will follow to complete your state Web Quest. Make sure you follow them in order! At the bottom of the page are all files you will need for this project.
1. Start off in collecting some basic facts from your state like the capital, two large cities, agriculture your state is known for, and industries your state is know for. Use :

2. What is it like in the Summer and Winter?

3. Find between 5-8 interesting facts to get people to visit your state. Don't forget your state tourism department is counting on you to find facts to put in your final presentation (commercial) to attract people to your state. You can use

Kid-Friendly search engine: www.kidrex.org
Now you are ready to create your State Google Present file (Commercial). Below gives you the directions on the number of slides and what is needed on them.
4. Requirements: You need
Title Page (make it cool and Interesting)
Intro slide to get your audience thinking about your state
At least 4 slides that list out your facts in a cool way
