What is VAMPS?

Vocal Association of Music ParentS

What is a VAMP?

No need to sign-up or enroll, if you have a child in the Vocal Music Department, you are a “VAMP.”

VAMPS support the Vocal Music Department by giving their time to make the wheels of the department turn. All parents are welcome and strongly encouraged to help.  Since DSA has so many creative students, we know there are creative parents out there too!

VAMP Committees:

Committees are listed on the website.  Please volunteer to chair one of these important committees. No parent should have to chair a committee beyond or more than one year.  If being a committee chair is not your desired area, please consider helping the committee chairs where and when needed.  Your volunteer hours are expected and crucial in making an advanced Vocal program successful. DSA Vocal expects 20 hours minimum of parent volunteer service.

When are VAMPS meetings?

VAMPS meetings are scheduled ahead of time and posted on the Vocal Music Calendar on the Vocal website, are in one of the Vocal music classrooms; and they are open to all parents.  Please refer to the website for specific meeting dates under the VAMPS link.  This time is primarily a planning time for fundraisers, events, concerts, etc.  If you need to speak with the faculty about a personal or academic issue, kindly make a separate appointment.  Faculty may or may not be present at VAMP meetings.
