Supply List

You can find these books at most any music store!  If they don't have it, they could order it for you! You can also get it online at beginbandnow.com (Lincoln County's website), or Amazon. Stores near us are in Troy, Columbia, or the St. Louis area. These books are needed by the first day of class for Intermediate (7th grade) and {Advanced (8th grade) Bands- see note by book}

(exception- Beginners, you need your book the first day you bring your instrument to school for the first time!) 

*Beginning Band: Essential Elements, Book 1

*Intermediate Band: Essential Elements, Book 2

*Advanced Band: Continue in your RED Essential Elements book.

*You may want to buy the Green Standards of Excellence book (book 3) if you want your own new copy!  Ours is on old classroom set that has been well used! Please take care of it!  If you lose it, you will owe for it!  :) 

ALL Bands need the following items:

• 3 ring binder (page protectors NEEDED!)

(BEGINNERS need to get a view binder for this class!!!)

>you will need to put your name in the front of the binder for easy ID :) 

This binder is used to keep all things 'band'!

-Older students= make sure you have your name on the outside of your binder!  We search for TOO many 'lost' binders, a name on it will speed things up!!!  BINDER/page protectors are PREFERRED, if you can't find a binder, you MUST have a folder large enough to hold your book and band music! 

• Pencil (EVERY day!), multiples would be great! Expo thin marker works great for page protectors!

• NAMETAG on cases, PLEASE!! (minimum is duct tape with your name!)

• Loose leaf notebook paper and/or staff paper (see link in "other links")

• Have you considered (previously called) Smartmusic for home practice/ testing?? (in "other links") Makemusic.com

• Metronome....or visit the metronome online...see "other links" via this website!

            (A metronome is also included with a Smartmusic subscription!)

• Folding wire music stand (optional---for home practice!)

• Saxes and Clarinets need to buy a BOX of 10 reeds (number 3 please)! Please keep at LEAST 3 reeds in YOUR case at ALL times! Rotate them regularly! When your supply is running low, please reorder!

• "Brands of reeds"= (Rico Royal or Rico reeds are ok)....as you get older.....Vandorren
