NOTICE TO ALL BAND STUDENTS/Parents!!  

INSTRUMENTS NEED TO COME TO SCHOOL EVERY BAND DAY AND GO HOME EACH NIGHT!  

>NO HORNS SHOULD STAY AT SCHOOL OVERNIGHT! 

CUSTODIANS NEED TO DO DEEPER CLEANING AND HORNS GET IN THE WAY OF THAT!  (PLUS, YOU NEED TO BE PRACTICING YOUR HORN EACH NIGHT ANYWAY!)  :)

Who:  Bands- Grades 7-8, (HS band too)

Time:  Report time for kids = 6:30 pm

Start time = 7:00 pm

SPRING BAND CONCERT 2024

When:  Tuesday, May 14, 2024

Who:  Bands- Grades 6-7-8, (ms jazz band too)

Time:  Report time for kids = 6:30 pm

Start time = 7:00 pm

Dress code= Dress clothes (dress shoes, dress pants, dress shirt), skirts/dresses- must be below knee length when seated, otherwise, they need leggings underneath please.

HS GRADUATION!!  YES!!! It's for a grade!! :)

May 23, 2024- (Thursday) HS Graduation….Porter Stadium, (report 5:45)

Grades 9-11 band members, plus 8th graders.

DRESS CLOTHES- school appropriate (see below)

WHERE: Porter Stadium

Report time is 5:45 pm  

Grad starts at 7 pm (tbd) 

Grades 9-11, plus 8th graders!

(please no jeans, tennis shoes, tshirts, sweatshirts, shorts!) skirts/dresses- must be below knee length when seated, otherwise, they need leggings underneath please- dress code appropriate)

NOTE:  We will need to add (2) Graduation practices closer to time....please be flexible, thank you! 

....so that you can get together with the HS band and prepare for HS graduation!  You will need several page protectors for the extra music.  You also need to have it in a binder, wind is an issue/factor! Thanks!

YOU need a binder with page protectors for your music!! NO exceptions please!

Students, please bring a pencil, your music/binder (with page protectors), and your INSTRUMENT every day. Even though students are not required to turn in practice minutes, daily practice is recommended and preferred.  It's not a matter of how many minutes you practice, but the quality and accomplishments while you practice.  If you have questions about your practice time regimen, let a director know.

We will let you know what book we would like for you to look for later.  You NEED to bring your RED Book 2 to school with you on the first day of band!
