Course Description: Calculus is a branch of mathematics that studies change in variables. We will study rates of change by using derivatives and integrals. All of your previous math disciplines will be used: Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Functions (not Stats), Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus AB. All the material builds on itself and is mathematically rigorous. In this course, you will see why you studied all the previous topics in mathematics during your high school career!
This class is a continuation of AP Calculus AB. We will focus on the following topics: BC Integration Techniques, Parametric, Polar and Vector Valued Functions, as well as Sequences and Series through the lens of calculus.
Required Supplies: Binder 1.5"/2", Dividers, Highlighter, Personal Headphones, Calculator (a graphing calculator is required this class, TI-83 Plus or TI-84 is recommended)
Supplies Donations: -Dry Erase Markers (black), Kleenex, Clorox Wipes, Hand Sanitizer
We will be utilizing Google Classroom as our platform for class. Make sure you familiarize yourself with it and check for updates and announcements frequently.
