Objectives

By the time we are done with Genetics you should be able to...

  1. Summarize the events and outcomes of Meiosis.

  2. Generate models of Mendelian Genetics in the form of punnett squares.

    • Calculate both Genotypic & Phenotypic ratios as a result of your crosses.

    • Apply these ratios to situations of Complete, Co and Incomplete Dominance, Sex Linked disorders & Multiple Alleles (Blood type).

  3. Use a Pedigree to determine human genotypes or phenotypes.

  4. Analyze a scientific study. Make a claim about that analysis and support it with evidence and reasoning.
