About Me

I am excited for the new academic school year and privileged to have your child in my classroom.  I look forward to an exciting school year working with your children.  

  My career as an educator began here at Washington Charter as a Paraeducator One on One Aide from 1999-2005.  In 2005, I completed by Bachelor's degree and teaching credential program.  At that same time, I accepted a position as a School Administrator for Indio Christian Academy for 2 years.  In the fall of 2007, I was employed at Mecca Elementary as a 3rd- grade teacher for two years.  In the summer of 2009, the market crash affected the California education budget and I began my nomadic educational journey by being hired on a temporary contract.  This journey started from Sea View Elementary 5th grade to Dr. Carreon Elementary 4th grade.  I was able to secure a position at Kennedy Elementary for 3 years and within that time I had the opportunity to teach 4th & 5th grade.  Hence, bringing me to the present...back home where I first started my career.  

Entering the teaching profession has been a very rewarding experience.  I never imagined being an educator, but I was fortunate to have a High School teacher who “believed” in me and helped turn my academic career around and prepare me for college.

  I have been happily married for over 20 years, blessed with two daughters-in-law that my wife and I have raised since they were 8 and 9 years old, and my daughter and son.  Some of my favorite activities include working on my MacBook Pro computer, going to the movies, DIY Home Projects, Woodworking, and church services with my family, and creating as many memories as I can with them.
