Instruction and Technology

A Message from our Instruction and Technology Office

The Office of Instruction and Technology is dedicated to providing the students of Deptford Township with a challenging and rewarding education. Our PreK-12 curriculum follows the New Jersey Student Learning Standards in all content areas, the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards in the supporting academic areas, and the NJ Preschool Standards in PreK. Our office works extensively to ensure that students are offered a variety of courses that prepare them for the rigors of their academic career and that all teachers are fully supported in the delivery of instruction. In addition, Deptford’s curriculum helps build character and pride in all students so they can successfully meet the challenges in their lives. Highly qualified teachers, research-based learning materials, and cutting-edge technology provide our students with the education they need to succeed in the 21st century and beyond.

The Office of Instruction and Technology is comprised of Mrs. Heather Jackson, Chief Academic Officer/Assistant Superintendent, and Instructional Supervisors: Ms. Shelli Jones (who is also the principal of Pine Acres Early Childhood Center), Ms. Valerie Gambale, Ms. Shana Barnes (Special Education), Mrs. Johanna Vicchairelli, Mr. Johnathan Maxson, Mrs. Kaitlin Kosmaczewski  and Ms. Allison Lear (Chief Technology Officer/Instructional Supervisor). These instructional leaders collaborate on a daily basis to deliver outstanding support to every principal, teacher, and student for the fidelity of curriculum, instruction, and assessment in the Deptford Township School District.
