College Entrance Tests
Plan to take the ACT or SAT during the Spring of your Junior year if you intend to apply to a 4 year college after high school. Most students staying in the midwest will take the ACT, but colleges & universities will accept either one. Check with the schools you're interested in to see if you need to take the writing section of the ACT or any subject tests on the SAT.
Financial Aid
FAFSA: (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Everyone planning to attend college should fill this out anytime after October 1st of your senior year. Each school will have its own priority deadline by which this should be submitted to be eligible for the most financial aid.
ICAN: Provides free appointments to get help filling out the FAFSA, as well as a variety of other information.
