Short Bio

Professor of German at Denison University. He also teaches in the International Studies program, "Making of the Modern World" with a focus on borders and creating a poverty impact index as a measurement of global wealth disparity. Current interests in German include German culture and literature of the post-war period including writings of Uwe Timm, Uwe Johnson and representations of migration and mobility in German literature. He has also worked on language study and technology. Teaching responsibilities include all levels of German language, literature, film and culture and International Studies.
