In the Duke, players will be moving their pieces across the board in an attempt to capture their opponent's Duke tile. To do this, they will need to recruit more units along the way by adding them to the board from their bag of pieces. But don't get used to how these pieces move around the board. Because anytime that a unit moves, the tile flips over, and the unit gets a different movement ability. It will take planning and strategy in order to trap your opponent's Duke, and capture it in order to win the game.
*NOTE: The game comes with extra tiles that are for advanced play. These are not required to use. If you wish to play without them, you can do so and the game plays perfectly fine without them. If you choose to use them, follow the rules in the instruction book for how to include them. Additionally, the rulebook cover items not included in the base game but were designed for future expansions. Be aware that not everything in the rules directly applies to the base game.
Be the first player to trap and defeat your opponent's Duke.
