ammonia: toxic measured in parts per million (ppm)

nitrite: toxic (ppm)

nitrate: toxic (ppm)

pH: the acidity (<7) or alkalinity (>7) level

dissolved oxygen: oxygen in the water (ppm)

surface temperature: the temperature on the surface of the water (in degrees celcius)

turbidity: the clarity of the water (measured in NTU, Nephelometric Turbidity Units)

flow: cubic meter of water flowing through the section of stream per second (meters cubed/second)

suspended solids:

width: width of the section of stream (m)

depth: depth of the section of stream (cm)
