At DC West, our weight Training classes are a four day a week Olympic style lifting program. Our belief is that the use of free weights is the most beneficial to students no matter their ability level.
We pride ourselves on teaching proper form and technique before allowing any student to increase their workload. It is extremely important that each student understand the risks of poor form and too much weight. Students are under constant supervision for proper form, as well as, proper weight selection.
Upon completion of the course, students will be proficient in various movement patterns including squat, clean, bench press, and dead lift. in addition to these core movements students will become proficient in auxiliary lifts including bicep/ triceps lifts, shoulder lifts, back exercises, and lower body movements.
On Wednesday's students will perform routines designed to help with the students agility, conditioning, power, and speed.
