Q: What does the B.A.S.E. Program stand for?

A: Before and After School Enterprise.

Q. What does the Summit View B.A.S.E. Program offer?

A: We offer Before School, After School, Full Day (during In-Service Days and Fall/Spring Break), and Summer Programs.

Q: Who can attend the B.A.S.E. Program?

A: Any child who goes to Summit View that is a minimum of 5 years, 0 months and maximum 13 years, 0 months of age to attend may register for the program. Children who are four years old and eligible to enter kindergarten for the current school year may access the program no earlier than the first day of kindergarten class.

Q: Is there a required number of days my child must attend?

A: There is NOT a minimum number of days to attend if they go to the Before, After, or Full/Summer Programs

Q: Is there a Registration Fee?

A: Yes $75.00 for the first child and $100.00 per family.

Q: I have 2 children who will attend B.A.S.E. Do I get a discount?

A: We only offer a sibling discount for full days when the children are on a break.

Q: Do you have a wait list?

A: No currently we do not have a wait list for before, after, full-day, or summer. However, we do get full quick during full days.

Q: How do I pay for B.A.S.E.?

Q: Are drop-ins available?

A: Drop-ins are available depending if we have space. We maintain a 1:12 staff to student ratio. We do fill up so please get your reservations in by Wednesdays by midnight. There will be a drop in fee applied at your check out.

Q: Do you offer care when the school is closed?

A: We run a "Full-Day Program" on In-Service Days, Fall Break, Spring Break, Winter Break and in the Summer. Closures will be posted in the Parent Handbook (available on our website under the registration link).

Q: What do you do during these Full-Day Programs?

A: We take numerous field trips which include swimming, movies, going out to eat, etc. The rest of the day we do crafts, go outside, play in the gym, and use our iPads. The kids are never bored!

Q: My child will need to take medication during the B.A.S.E. hours. How does that process work?

A: Medication can be given by a trained B.A.S.E. staff member ONLY if we have the Medication Release or Inhaler Permission forms located on our web site under Medication Release Forms. Without these forms we are unable to give or provide medication. The medication will be stored in the Director's office (not in the nurse's office). If your child needs medication during normal school hours, please contact the front office.
