Closures & Delays

Information on a delayed start due to weather:

A letter from Douglas County School District's Transportation Department was recently shared with families regarding the inclement weather procedures for our specific area of the district. In summary, bus service will run on a 90 minute delayed schedule for all students in our attendance area when the announcement on TV, radio, the district's weather hotline, or the district's Web site is 90 minute delayed schedule. Our school school start time will be as follows:

Regular time: 8:30am

Delayed start time:10:00am

Our B.A.S.E. Program will also run on a 90 minute delayed schedule in order to ensure that highways, roads, parking lots, and walkways are cleared and safe for families and staff. Our B.A.S.E. Program start time will be as follows:

Regular time: 7:00AM

Delayed start time: 8:30AM

When the TV, radio, weather hotline and district webs site announcement indicates that either our attendance area or Douglas County School District is closed, our B.A.S.E. Program is also closed.
