Speaking/Listening:
What a fun site! This is a great place where students can use a picture and make a recording. After inserting a mouth on the picture, the picture will "say" the recording. Very engaging for students of all ages!
Reverb: Voice Recording for Students
This is an easy-to-use voice recording site where students can record, playback their recordings and share them easily with teachers or others.
Vocaroo is a very basic voice recording site that all students can use easily. It allows students to make a recording and easily save and share it.
Reading:
Reading aloud to children has been shown to improve reading, writing and communication skills, logical thinking and concentration, and general academic aptitude, as well as inspire a lifelong love of reading. Teachers use Storyline Online in their classrooms, and doctors and nurses play Storyline Online in children’s hospitals.
Storyline Online is available 24 hours a day for children, parents, caregivers and educators worldwide. Each book includes supplemental curriculum developed by a credentialed elementary educator, aiming to strengthen comprehension and verbal and written skills for English-language learners.

Many teachers have a license for this, so connect with your child's teacher for login information. Students use this platform often at school, but after school hours, there is a fee associated.
This site has many articles on current events and articles for kids on science, social studies, entertainment, etc.
This site allows students to listen to and create their own fairy tales. there are games to play, too!
We have read many of Jan Brett's stories in the classroom (The Mitten, The Hat, etc.). The students LOVE the storylines and illustrations Jan Brett includes in her books. Children may need a little help to navigate the site, but they will love using the flash cards, coloring pages and more on the site!
This site allows students to read books at their independent level. Some of the tasks include: listening to a book being read, reading and recording the same book and answering questions about the book. Students earn stars for each task they complete and they can purchase fun items for their personal rocket! Email Mrs. Tracy if you need the teacher username!

Writing:
Book Creator is a simple tool for creating awesome digital books. Create your own teaching resources or have your students take the reins. Most teachers have accounts with Book Creator for their students, so connect with your child's teacher (or Mrs. Tracy) to get the login information.
This website is a very helpful resource for writing I Am poems at home. It provides a scaffold for students to fill out, and then the poem can be printed out. Fun!
This is an electronic comic strip creator. It's a fun way to get creative with your writing!
This is a site that uses intriguing pictures to encourage word choice. Students select a picture, then can select from various words to create poetry or write short stories in response. Very fun!
Math:
