Meet the Team 

I have been teaching first grade at Summit View for 10 years. Previous to SVE, I grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I earned my Elementary Education degree from Bucknell University and received my Masters in Special Education from the University of Florida. 

My husband Kevin and I have two boys who are 4 and 2, and a 3 month old girl. I will be on maternity leave until September soaking up my time with my newborn. We love to spend our weekends swimming, hiking, and skiing. I am excited for a wonderful year in first grade!

 Let me take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself.  My name is Kelli Silverstein and I will be your child’s homeroom teacher.  Originally, I am from Cincinnati, Ohio but raised in sunny Tampa, Florida! I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Education at The University of South Florida where I received teaching endorsements in K-6, Reading, special education, and English Language Learners. In May 2025 I earned my Masters Degree in the Teacher Leadership program at CU Boulder (SKO BUFFS)!! This will be my Tenth year of teaching with experience in grades 1, 2, and 5!

My husband, our beloved Corgi (Otis) & I decided to take a leap of faith seven years ago and moved cross-country from Tampa, FL. We love it here in Colorado and have not looked back! In October 2022, we became a family of three and welcomed our daughter Nora.I feel so lucky to have laid down roots in my community, and to have become a  Summit View Mountain Lion!
