Throughout the school year, we will be reading a variety of novels and engaging short stories. Here is our tentative schedule for our literary activities:
August-September: Junior Great Books
September-November: Anchor Text (The Wednesday Wars)
January-February: Coming of Age Book Clubs
February-March: Mystery Book Clubs
April-May: Anchor Text (Freak the Mighty)
One of the key skills we will be working on is diving into and discussing text at a variety of Bloom's Taxonomy levels. We will also be using RACES formatting to analyze and evaluate the text while citing evidence.
