Interpretive Guide to Assessment Reports 2023 (A Guide for Parents and Educators)
The guide provides information on individual student performance reports, school reports, and district reports provided for the CMAS (all content areas, including CSLA) and CoAlt (science) assessment results. Section 2.0 of the guide is available to help parents and educators understand the student performance reports. Consistent with previous administrations, additional communication resources (such as the Parent’s Guide to Understanding the Score Reports which provides an abbreviated overview of the student performance report for parents) are expected to be available soon.

CMAS Paper-based Testing Sample Items:
To help students become familiar with the format of test items in paper-based test books, sample item sets are available. Sets include selected response, constructed response, and online technology-enhanced items converted for paper-based testing (e.g., students respond to items by drawing a line, drawing a circle, graphing, etc.). The sets are not intended to be a complete test, nor are they intended to cover all assessed content or item types. Use of the sample items is not required; however, it is encouraged.
