MULTIMEDIA OVERVIEW/COURSE DESCRIPTION:
LIGHTS.... CAMERA ....ACTION!
If you'd like to experience the thrilling world of videography, then Multimedia is the class for you! There is lots of problem-solving and re-editing in this class because let's face it......does technology ever work the way you want it to the first time??!! NEVER! That's Mrs. DeLong's passion! Taking great videos that you record and allowing you to create a masterpiece of epic proportion!!! All you have to do is come in with your original ideas for each special effect project that you'll learn and the semester will fly by as you work in Final Cut Pro X and WeVideo! Another exciting perk is that if you take this class as a 7th grader, you can apply for the CANN (Cresthill Action News Network) broadcasting show as an 8th grader! Multimedia is a requirement for this class!
Students will: Maintain the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) standards for students through completion of various multimedia projects using Final Cut Pro X.

2. Go to SHARE and then to ADVANCED and click ANYONE WITH THE LINK.
3. Then go to the PROJECTS tab on you website and go to ADD FROM DRIVE to load your assessment.

CANN & MULTIMEDIA: Pick a project to complete in WeVideo
1. Create a personal narrative
2. Record interviews (in person or virtually) & add at least 10 pieces of B-Roll.
3. Create a whiteboard animation
4. Present slides with a screencast recording
5. Record a stop-motion animation in Google Slides a stop-motion animation using Google Slides (click here for a step-by-step tutorial). It's easy: create a slide, duplicate it, move something, duplicate the new slide, move something, etc. Repeat over and over. When you're done, put the slides in WeVideo and narrate them.
6. Make a video tour of a significant location A virtual walking tour is an option, too. Use Google Maps Street View to view one of these fantastic locations virtually (or anywhere else). Record it (including the microphone for your voice) while you play tour guide and read some facts about the location from a script or extemporaneously!
7. Take your video projects anywhere with green screen. Go to YouTube for the How-To about this How to Green Screen.
8. Create a MEME. First, find a meme that you love! Then, use greenscreen and put yourself in the meme with words and a similar background.
9. Record a product review.
10. Record an app review.
ALL PROJECTS MUST HAVE:
-NTRO. SLIDES IDENTIFYING YOUR NAME AND THE PROJECT YOU CHOSE.
-BACKGROUND SOUND (THAT DOES NOT OVERPOWER THE PROJECT!) WITH FADE-OUT.
-TITLES & TRANSITIONS THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO WHEN APPROPRIATE.
-MINIMUM TIME LIMIT OF 1 MIN. / MAX TIME LIMIT OF 5 MIN.
