• What to Expect in Chorus

• Chorus is a singing class so expect to sing everyday.

• We will read music using solfege syllables

• Students will be asked to look at their music and practice quietly while the teacher works with other groups

• Students will be required to turn in practice charts

• We will be standing for most of the class period everyday

• We will do physical warm ups, as well as vocal warm ups

• There will be times when students are asked to sing by themselves, or in a small group

• It gets very warm in the chorus room as there are no windows or other means of ventilation. Students are asked to remember to put on deodorant because it does get sweaty in the room, and we would like to leave a pleasant experience for those using the room after us.
