Happy Thanksgiving 2021
Here is an audio clip with slides from our in-class rehearsal on the Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. The sing "Thank You" in different languages.
The slides are samples taken from students' reflection on what they are thankful for.
What to Expect in Chorus
Chorus is a singing class - expect to sing everyday.
We will learn to use solfege, which is used to read music.
Students will be asked to look at their music, study, and practice quietly while your teacher works with other groups.
Students may be required to turn in practice charts.
We will be standing for much of the class period everyday.
We will do physical warm ups, as well as vocal warm ups.
There will be times when students are asked to sing by themselves, or in a small group.
It gets very warm in the Auditorium. Students are asked to please remember to use deodorant because it does get warm and sweaty in the room.
Grading will be calculated as follows:
Assessments = 70%
Class Activities /Classwork/Assignments = 30%
