What is a Park Ave STAR?
Our vision is to create a strong community between students, staff and parents by implementing clear and consistent expectations to motivate students to be a STAR. We will empower students to make safe choices, demonstrate teamwork with a positive attitude, having accountability and being respectful. Together we will foster life-long learners with an aim to increase positive behavior, attendance and promote academic achievement.
How will I know if my student is a Park Ave STAR?
How will I know if my student is a Park Ave STAR?
Your child may come home with STAR tickets, awarded by a staff member, when they are caught doing something good! This is worth celebrating- it means we want your student to know their positive behavior is not going unnoticed. Also, each month we have a "family meeting" to celebrate 2 exceptional STAR students in each class. These students will earn a certificate. This means they have had a month of good choices and great behavior that their teacher wants to recognize!
