I am so excited to be your STEM Teacher and I can't wait to share with you my passion and enthusiasm towards STEM education.
Just a little bit about myself. I moved to the United States for Graduate School. I received an M.A. in Advertising and an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. A few months after graduation, I was recruited by Dallas ISD and here I am! I came to work at Hill Middle School in Fall 2009, and have been here ever since I joined Dallas ISD. This is now my 13th year at Hill!
In Spring 2012, I was recruited to write a STEM curriculum for 6th Grade Math. We started our STEM program in Fall 2012 and have been expanding ever since. In 2014, I made the switch to focus completely on STEM. I attended every single intensive summer training available (seriously, those super intensive trainings are no joke!) to bring the BEST possible instruction to the STEM program. Now I have the honor and pleasure to teach a wide array of STEM courses, including introduction to engineering, biomedical sciences, robotics, and computer science to 6th, 7th and 8th Grade STEM. My goal is that every STEM student can learn about STEM and make informed choices for high school, college and career.
