Need a good book? I personally love to read "kid" books so you've come to right place!
I am proud to say I am going on my fourth year as a member of the Illinois Rebecca Caudill selection committee. The Rebecca Caudill Award is an Illinois children's book award. Last year from May to Super Bowl weekend, I ended up reading over 50 books and participated in a selection meeting where a room of about 100 people discussed and voted on the current 2020 list. I've read them all and have been reading for the 2020 list since May. I only have 31 left out of the 50 finalists to read by February 1st...eek!!
Last year our class was chosen to announce the winning book for the 2019 Caudill Award. We were honored and excited to see which book won after making three videos about the potential winners! Click the video to the right to see our announcement of this past year's winner!
So, ask me about books you may like,
or take a look at the lists below for some good reads!
