All About Me

 Welcome to First grade!  My name is Amanda Kurzeja. (Koo-shay-a) I am so happy to be your child's teacher this year. I have been teaching for 25 years and this will be my 13th year at Prairieview school. I have had experience teaching kindergarten and third grade in Mundelein, Lake Bluff, and, Grayslake.  I graduated from Elmhurst College with a degree in Elementary Education and received my Master's degree in Educational Administration from Dominican University.  I have earned my ELL endorsement through National Louis University.

To tell you a little about my family: My husband, twin 21 year old boys and I love to travel, watch movies, read, snorkel, and hike. My boys will be graduating from college in May.  Alexander is at Milwaukee School of Engineering and Evan is at University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh. I also love anything Disney, with Mickey being my favorite!
