The Lane School’s physical education program is dedicated to creating an environment that is safe, enjoyable and active. We strive to develop the skills of each individual student to become successful and promote health enhancing practices. Throughout the year, the students will become educated on their fitness levels, team building, cooperative skills, cognitive learning and overall benefits of exercise. Below is information related to TLS’s Behavior Matrix, our P.E. shoe policy and Behavior Slips that are necessary to continue to be a quality physical education program.
P.E. Shoe Policy
Here are some examples of acceptable shoe wear for P.E.
Students will not be able to participate and will be sent a reminder home if they are not dressed appropriately for P.E. class. If there are any circumstances that need to be brought to our attention please let us know.
Medicals:
A parent note will allow a student to be out of P.E. for no more than 3 days. If your child needs additional time out due to an injury/medical situation, they must provide a signed doctors note. If a student is out of class for additional time, there will be supplemental experiences for them to understand the concepts being taught.
