Field Day Permission Slip

The Lane School Field Day will be on Wednesday, June 5. Field Day will take place this year at Peirce Park (Walnut & Mills Streets). All students will walk with their teachers from The Lane School to Peirce Park (approximately 3/4 of a mile) and back to school at the end of Field Day. We will leave The Lane School promptly at 8:45 A.M. and return by 11:30 A.M. (for an 11:40 A.M. dismissal). Please do your best to have your child arrive on time for school on this day. Eating a healthy breakfast is also important.

We will be having a fun, half-day of physically challenging activities. Students should wear athletic footwear (no sandals) and clothing that is appropriate for “play in the park” (i.e. nothing brand new). Students’ clothing may get wet or soiled. If the weather warrants it, please apply sun block at home. Hats, sunglasses, and water bottles will be allowed. Please write students names on all items.

In case of inclement weather, alternative indoor Field Day activities will take place at The Lane School.

Parent volunteers are needed to help with preparation prior to the event and on Field Day. Please contact Mr. Ozga, 887-1430, ext. 275 or dozga@d181.org if you are interested in helping support your child’s Field Day Program.
