Informational
Key Ideas and Details: Identify main idea, key details, ask/answer questions in a variety of grade level appropriate informational text to comprehend
Craft and Structure: Identify how words, phrases, structure and text features impact the meaning of informational text
Text Type and Purpose: Respond to informational text through a variety of writings as evidence of comprehension
Writing
We focus on various types of writing throughout the school year. This includes: personal narrative, opinion writing, friendly letter, informational writing, poetry, journal writing and creative writing. We also focus on daily grammar including parts of speech, punctuation, and capitalization.
