Ryan McLaughlin - Field Park

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Elementary PE website.  I am Ryan McLaughlin, I have been teaching at Field Park since 2001.  I am very lucky to be working in the same district that I went to school as a kid.  I grew up in Western Springs and went to Forest Hills, McClure and LT.  I have four children; Connor (10), Abby (8), Carter (6), and Patrick (3) they are tons of fun and I enjoying spending time with them as much as I can.  My wife, Nicole, is a 1st grade teacher at Laidlaw. I enjoying playing soccer and hockey.  I spend a lot of time outside with my family playing i the yard.  We enjoy going to the Brookfield Zoo and Morton Arboretum.  We try to stay active as a family and play as much as we can during our free time.

I am a huge believer in teaching lifelong fitness and encouraging healthy habits at a young age.   I am looking forward to the increased use of technology at Field Park.  We will be using iPads and the Chrome Books as much as we can to enhance our PE curriculum.
