To ensure that all students have the excellent climate they deserve, these norms are to be followed in my classroom.
1. Be on time for class.
2. Stay organized and be prepared for learning.
3. Show respect to the teacher, your classmates, and yourself.
4. Be prepared with a pencil, eraser, and notebook for class every day.
5. Raise your hand and wait to be called on before you speak.
6. Submit your assignments on time.
Discipline
If a student chooses not to follow the rules (i.e., swearing/foul language, defiance, disruptive/rude behavior, misuse of property/technology, etc.), they will first be given a reminder. If another disruption occurs, they will have a cool-down period where they are asked to take a step back and reflect. They will then need to complete a Bear Pride Reflection sheet, reflecting on their misbehavior and how things could have been done differently. If the problem persists, I will contact the parents for a conference. Each situation will be evaluated individually.
