Junior High

The junior high school bands comprise of over 150 members who meet daily in four different sections at Clinton Junior High School.

Beginning Band


This ensemble is comprised of junior high students who have had little or no experience in instrumental music. In this ensemble, students develop basic skills of tone production, proper breathing techniques, and the reading and playing of music notation. The beginning band performs at the Winter concert, the Ice Cream Social, and the Spring Concert.


Cadet Band


The Cadet Band is comprised of students who have had at least one year of successful band experience. The emphasis in this ensemble is to further develop the skills introduced in beginning band and to introduce more complex playing techniques. The cadet band performs at the Homecoming Parade, Christmas Parade, the Winter concert, Ice Cream Social, and the Spring concert.


Concert Band


This is the top band at Clinton Jr. High School. This band is comprised of mainly eighth graders and some seventh graders who auditioned to be placed in this ensemble. The concert band performs at the Homecoming Parade, Christmas Parade, the Winter concert, Ice Cream Social, and the Spring concert.
