Students United Scholarships FAQ:

WHEN DO SCHOLARSHIPS OPEN? WHEN ARE THEY DUE?

All Students United scholarships open on February 1st. The application process closes on April 1st, except for the Nellie Stone Johnson Scholarship, which is due on June 1st.

WHAT SCHOLARSHIPS DOES STUDENTS UNITED OFFER?

Currently, there are eight scholarships for students to apply for. Each scholarship has different criteria one must meet. Here is the list of scholarships: Timothy J. Penny State & Federal Public Service Fellowship, Barbara J. Penny Community Service Scholarship, Nellie Stone Johnson Scholarship, Jared P. Stene Student Leadership Scholarship, Friends Scholarship, Robert L. Carothers Distinguished Student Writers Award, Elizabeth Pegues Scholarship Matching Program for Students of Color, and Hull Educational Foundation Scholarship.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR STUDENTS UNITED SCHOLARSHIPS?

Each scholarship has its own criteria. Minnesota State University students are eligible for all of our scholarships. Students attending a Minnesota State community or technical college, are eligible for the Timothy J. Penny State & Federal Public Service Fellowship, Barbara J. Penny Community Service Scholarship, Nellie Stone Johnson Scholarship, and the Elizabeth Pegues Scholarship Matching Program for Students of Color.
