Prairie Music Association

The Prairie Music Association (PMA) is a non-profit Iowa corporation serving the music programs of the College Community School District. PMA provides volunteer and financial support to both vocal and instrumental music programs in grades K-12 throughout the district.

PMA provides support for a broad range of educational endeavors within the district's music programs. Their efforts equip students with music, uniforms, props, workshops, large instruments, transportation, guest clinicians, and various performance opportunities.

Middle School parents/guardians are highly encouraged to become involved in PMA! The group meets most months throughout the year at 7:00 pm in the High School Band Room. Anyone interested is welcome and encouraged to attend! Just enter through the Fine Arts (Theater/Concert Hall) doors and follow the signs. In addition to volunteering your time and talents, PMA also sponsors a Patron’s Program. The Prairie Music Patrons Program is a fund designated for the support of long-term programs funded by PMA. Originated in 1997, the Patrons Program was established to specifically fund the large, planned purchases that volunteers routinely work to provide such as uniforms, large instruments, and risers.
