iPads and APTT - December 2011

Many Creighton District teachers and parents participate in Academic Parent and Teacher Teams (APTT). These teams are designed to help teachers and parents join forces to improve student academic achievement. Teacher/Parent team meetings are held once each quarter. The meeting provide a means for parents to learn how their student is doing in class and ways for them to provide academic support at home.

iPad classrooms often incorporate the iPads into the Teacher/ Parent team meeting. Assisted by their child, during this meeting parents were able to log in to several web based tools being used in the classrooms. Parents were able to see the types of skills being supported through Study Island and view their students Common Formative and Benchmark assessment results through ATI (Assessment Technologies Incorporated).
