If you are injured and require specific limitations or modifications to your Physical Education class, please bring a medical excuse from the doctor stating exactly 1.) what you are NOT able to do or what kinds of activities you may still participate in.... AND 2.) how long it will last.
EXAMPLES:
**If an excuse is turned in that is very general and says "No PE x 1 week", then we cannot permit you to do ANY activity, including walking......
You will complete a 5 pt. written assignment to earn your daily points each day you have class.
**If an excuse is given that is more specific and says "Walking only x 1 week" or "No activities that include the use of the right arm",
then you will be exempt from the written work and can walk to earn your 5 daily points.
Please see the attached Medical Policy from the guidance office that would apply to an extended medical issue (longer than three weeks) that would allow for study hall placement &/or a "medical" credit.
If a student has documentation and is out of the building with COVID-19, all PE assignments will be excused. If students are required to quarantine for any documented reason, alternate assignments will be given individually to those students during that time off.
