One of our primary goals as a PE department is to expose students to as many forms of physical activity as possible and encourage them to participate in their own personal interests in the future outside of class.
This school year, the locker rooms will not be available for changing clothes (due to the CASD COVID Health & Safety Plan) so we will be limiting extremely vigorous physical activities that cause students to sweat a lot in their school clothes, reducing shared pieces of equipment as much as possible, trying to stay outdoors whenever feasible, and offering more individual fitness and life & leisure activities to remain as socially distant as possible.
With the new BLOCK SCHEDULE, students will have PE once every 4 days for 83 minutes, which will allow us to cover 2-3 physical activity options each class. Check out what we are doing in class!
