The goal of the District Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is to promote a safe and healthful campus environment, while supporting the mission of the District to “educate all students to meet or exceed the district’s academic standards and … to become lifelong learners and productive citizens.”
To support this goal, the Office of EHS and the EHS Manager's position is charged with the oversight responsibility for developing and implementing occupational and school related Environmental, Health, and Safety programs in concert with Federal, State, and local standards.
EHS Board Policies includes:
8405 - Environmental Health & Safety
8442 - Reporting Accidents
8450 - Control of Communicable Diseases (including bloodborne pathogens)
8452 - Automatic External Defibrillators (AED)
8453 - Direct Contact Communicable Diseases
