About Me

Welcome to my webpage!  I am so glad you and your student could join me on this exciting journey!  My name is Sara Murray, and I have been teaching for CUSD since 2008.  I spent six years at Temperance-Kutner, four years of which I taught 1st/2nd grade, and two years teaching 4th grade.  Previously, I taught kindergarten at Reagan Elementary, first grade and READ 180 at Miramonte Elementary, kindergarten at Mickey Cox Elementary, and sixth grade at Temperance-Kutner.  I have been at Boris Elementary since we opened our doors.  While here, I have taught fourth grade, a fourth/fifth combination class, and sixth grade.  I am a J.V. volleyball coach for both our boys' and girls' teams, and I am the coordinator for our CSI student support groups.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I am a third generation "valley girl", born and raised in Exeter, California.  I received my AA at College of the Sequoias and then decided to go to work in the business world.  For years, I was a team leader in account services and a sales/operations manager, but I knew that teaching was where my heart was.  After working in those careers for about fifteen years, I decided to go back to school, get my credential, and do what I was truly meant to do...teach!  I graduated in December 2008 from California State University, Fresno with both my Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.  In December of 2016, I completed my M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction.  I am currently using this degree to help me better integrate instruction with technology to support my students, both in school and at home.

I am so excited to be a part of the amazing staff and families who, together, are building the foundation for Boris Elementary! I look forward to meeting and working with all of my fabulous students...we are going to have an exciting year together!! :-)
