Calculators

Donate Calculators

Donations to my classroom are always appreciated. If you would like to donate a Calculator to my classroom, please purchase a Casio fx-115 ES. It is the model of calculator I use and can replace the broken calculators in my class set. Also, if you have any used scientific or graphing calculators that you would like to donate to a good home, I would be happy to take the off of your hands. I take working or non-working calculators (as I am pretty good at fixing broken ones).

Math 1, Math 2, and Honors Math 2

Calculators are allowed on most tests in these subjects, although they are not required. I have a classroom set of about 35 34 calculators (one screen is cracked and unusable) that students can use during class time, but I strongly recommend that students have one at home as well.

I will teach all students how to use key functions during math lessons throughout this school year. Any scientific calculator will do, but I recommend buying a Casio fx-115 ES. For about $15-20, it does more than the average computation. It does fractions, radicals, complex numbers, and even rationalizes denominators. It will also be the model I use to demonstrate how to do problems in class.
