ELD - English Language Development

English Language Development - Emerging (ELD 1&2), Expanding (ELD 3), and Bridging (ELD 4) 

These courses are designed to provide English Language Development for Emerging (Beginning,/Early Intermediate), Expanding (Intermediate), Bridging (Early Advance, and/or Advance) English Learners. These courses will develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English that are aligned with the English Language Development California Standards. Use of visuals, hand-on activities, gestures, and concrete activities are part of the everyday classroom. The goal of these courses is to advance students to the next English Proficiency level.

In addition, policies implemented by the CUSD, Buchanan High School rules will also be enforced. (i.e. attendance, dress code, etc.)
