The third edition of the Clovis North Twilight Invitational was the biggest yet, and certainly the most competitive with 28 registered teams and over 800 athletes.  The conditions, once again, proved to be outstanding and times/races reflected the high-energy atmosphere!  New meet records were set by Connor Nolen of the host Broncos (9:18) in the Varsity 1-2 race!  Archbishop Mitty scored a Girls Small Schools division Team Time Record (59:52), and were led by Julie Lemak (2nd in Varsity 1-2 race in 11:02).  Clovis North lowered the Girls Large Schools Team Time Record, combining to run 56:44.  They were led by Varsity 1-2 race winner Leigh Moffett (10:50), who used a mid-race push to secure the individual win.

Chico High's boys returned for the second year from up north to take the Small Schools crown (51:46.8) and were lead by Jacob Graber (9:55, 10th in 1-2 race).  Madera South, led by super-soph Eduardo Herrera (9:20, 2nd in 1-2 race), left for the third straight year with the Large Schools team title (48:06).  Freshman Lauren Lienau (Clovis North, 11:25) and junior Juan Macias (Madera South, 9:39) proved to be the "top no. 3" performers while taking the 3-4 races.  Top no. 5 man/woman went to senior David Garcia (Madera South, 9:42) and freshman Mackenzie Mora (Clovis West, 11:44) while taking the 5-6-7 race.  As the meet continues to grow, we hope to see everyone return along with some new competition for the 2014 version of the Clovis North Twilight Invitational!
