Classroom Expectations

Classroom

I expect each child to come to school prepared to learn. This means having had a good night's sleep and the proper tools such as planner, homework folder, pencils and paper. I ask that parents request a conference, call, or email me if you need to talk with me at length about a particular concern.

Each day will begin with a routine of unpacking, sharpening pencils, turning in homework and completing morning work. Please have your child at school on time so he/she can get these things done in a timely manner.

Behavior

Our school follows the PBIS model. This means students will be taught routines and expectations and will be praised when those expectations are met. Each child will be able to earn school rewards every four weeks for positive behavior. I also expect each child to follow our classroom and school rules all of the time. Our classroom is very structured and students will know exactly what the expectations are from the first day of school. We will be using Classroom Dojo to record each child's behavior. You can communicate with me about behavior through the free app, Classroom Dojo.
