Tonnie Bearfield

NBCT Media Coordinator

I was born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Go Steelers!!! I graduated from Clarion University in 1997 and moved south to take a position as a fifth grade teacher at Grover Elementary. When KMIS was built, I moved to the new school as Media Coordinator and have been in the Media Center ever since. I earned my Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina in 2006.

I am married to a retired soldier from the US ARMY, Wyatt Bearfield. Together we have two children, Kylie and Mary.

I spend a great deal of my spare time reading, trying to keep up with my students. My other favorite activity is running. I'm not very fast but I do love to run.

I look forward to another fantastic year helping our kids at KMIS learn to love reading and acquiring information!!

Lesia Wilson

Media Assistant

I am a Cleveland County Resident I have lived in Kings Mountain most of my life. I have worked in the Cleveland County School System since 1997. Since KMIS has been built, I have worked various positions but have spent most of my time in the Media Center

I am married to Fleete Wilson and we have one son Chip. We have one fur baby named Molly. We also have a fur grand dog Zain.

I look forward to working in the Media Center again next year and love seeing all of our students and watching them learn to love reading. We have a great selection of books and hope our students come to our Media Center regularly.
