News from Our Celina K-8 PE Teachers

The Kinder Joy of moving program has been added to Save the Children’s SummerBoost Learning Camp™ in Clay County, which helps slow summer learning loss for children during the summer. Elementary students who attend the Clay County Summer Learning Camp in May and June will receive FREE instruction and activity kits that promote at-home learning in STEM, reading, math and physical activity, while using activity cards that stimulate family bonding through play and cognitive learning, including also Kinder Joy of moving equipment needed for children to stay active at home with their families. Clay County physical education teachers Isaiah Walker, Sharon Kimes, Mark  Strong, and Jonathan Porter received equipment, such as foam balls, vests, cones, hurdles, jump ropes, and more, to engage children in physical activities.
