SMS/CIDL BATTLE OF THE BOOKS 2026
Who: ALL 6th and 7th graders at SMS
What: 2026 Battle of the Books
Where: SMS Learning Commons
When: March 18, 2026, at 8 am
Sashabaw Middle School and the Clarkston Independence District Library (CIDL) are excited to present the 2025 Battle of the Books! The Battle will be run like last year -- during the school day in the SMS Learning Commons.
The official Battle sign-up will take place starting the week of Dec. 8, 2025. Registration closes Friday, Feb. 7, 2026. Team registration can be completed on forms available here and in the Learning Commons. One registration form per team. All students will need a permission slip as well. It can be found here or in the Learning Commons.
The books will also be available for checkout at both the SMS Learning Commons and the Clarkston Independence District Library. And as always, you are welcome to purchase your own copies; however, this is not necessary/required.
