My Philosophy in Teaching:
Teaching is about Learning, Teaching and learning are the most primitive human needs.
My philosophy of teaching is to provide a classroom environment where students are encouraged to express their own ideas and participate in their educational experience. I want my students to enjoy the interaction in my classroom and to be challenged by the intellectual discussion of course material.
Various forms styles and teaching methods are implemented to achieve the objectives of the courses. These methods include:
Class participation, group work, one to one question. using a whiteboard, data show (PowerPoint), and videos.
working with actual texts, which can be printed out or presented via projector.
Where necessary, sections of books and journal articles will be printed out and handed to students to further enhance their understanding of specific translation issues.
Also, most of the activities are done inside the class, students are also given homework and tasks to be carried out outside class. The students will be asked to work individually and in groups to accomplish a particular task. The course requires motivation and self-directed learning strategies on the part of the learner.
